Privacy Policy
Undertable ("we", "us") operates the Undertable iOS app — a private, adults-only (18+) community. This policy explains what we collect, why, how long we keep it, and how you can delete it or withdraw consent. By using Undertable you agree to this policy.
1. Who can use Undertable
Undertable is strictly for adults 18 years or older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18; if we learn an account belongs to a minor, we delete it.
2. What we collect and how we use it
Information you provide:
- Account: email address and password (passwords are stored hashed by our authentication provider; we never see them in plain text).
- Profile: display name, identity, who you're looking for, country, optional bio, interests, and photos you upload.
- Content: forum topics/posts, messages, likes, favorites, connections, events, scenes, and any reports you submit.
Collected automatically, with your permission:
- Approximate location: if you allow location access, we collect a coarse (≈city-level) location to show members near you first and label your area. You can decline or revoke this any time in iOS Settings; the app still works without it.
- Notification token: if you enable notifications, an Apple push token.
- Basic technical data needed to operate and secure the service.
We use this information to provide the community (profiles, discovery, matching, messaging, forum, events), to keep members safe (moderation and abuse prevention), to process membership subscriptions, and to comply with law. We do not collect precise/GPS location, contacts, or advertising identifiers, and we do not sell your personal data.
3. Photo moderation
Uploaded images are reviewed before they become visible to others — automatically and, where needed, by human moderators. Images that violate our Guidelines are rejected and deleted.
4. Who we share it with
We share personal data only with service providers who run the app on our behalf under contract — hosting and database (Supabase), image-moderation, and Apple (for in-app purchases and push notifications) — and with other users, limited to what your privacy settings allow. We may disclose information where required by law or to protect people from harm.
5. Data retention
We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your personal data, except limited records we must retain for legal, security, or fraud-prevention purposes.
6. Deleting your data & withdrawing consent
You are always in control:
- Delete your account and all data in the app: Settings → You → Delete account. This permanently removes your profile, photos, messages, and activity.
- Revoke permissions (location, notifications) any time in iOS Settings.
- Access, correct, or request deletion of your data, or withdraw consent, by emailing us at privacy@undertable.fun. Residents of countries with data-protection laws (including Singapore's and Malaysia's PDPA) have these rights.
7. Security
We use industry-standard measures (encryption in transit, access controls, database-level row security). No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
8. International transfers
Your data may be processed in countries other than yours; where required we use appropriate safeguards.
9. Changes
We may update this policy; we'll post a new "last updated" date and, for material changes, notify you in the app.
